Mike's Mid-Semester Crisis

3 Weeks ago Mike decided that he wanted a bike.
Not just your run of the mill pedal bike like the dusk warden, but a real deal motorcycle.
Ever since I have started my new job that has similar hours to Mike's school hours,
driving has been a bit of a juggle.
So we went for it. He scoured kijiji and found a sweet deal on this beauty.

A week and a half later he sold it for more than we bought it for.
Sweet!
Back to juggling.

My brother Ryan

A few weeks ago I was at my parents house and my Dad decided I was qualified enough to take our families passport photos because of my one month at the Walmart portrait studio.
My little bro Ryan was rocking a sweet mullet and dirt-stach, and for some odd reason my Dad didn't want my brother's passport to look like that for the next 5 years. Who knows why.
So we had a little "stach-shaving-off" photo shoot...not the first one we've had either.
It always is an event when Ryan shaves his stach!

My Dad and sis Ariana then combined forces to pin his sweet mullet back.
He cleans up pretty good. Watch out ladies!
The next week we came up we're all in the kitchen, when I look over at Ryan and he's sporting this sweet temporary tattoo.

An elegant lion.
Ryan, you're awesome!

Toilet Paper Palace

I came home to this a few days ago. I guess Mike was sick of going and getting more toilet paper. :)

Happy Monday!

Valentine's Day

This year was Mike and I's first Valentine's Day as a married couple. Whilst Mike was at school, I endeavered to make an awesome Valentine for him, (along with delicous cookie dough truffels which turned out amazing!). But alas, it turns out my five-year-old self could whoop my touchey at crafts. But he liked them! After school we made a delicious dinner together and then I had to go to work. After work we went to The Cheesecake Cafe. It was below -10 so we each got a free hot chocolate and then ordered the cheese cake banana split. It was unbelievably delicous!

When we got home I discovered in the fridge a special treat Mike had made for me from the left over chocolate. A chocolate moustache! How romantic, no? He also wrote me a wonderful prose and even pulled out my painting supplies to paint 12 little roses (a dozen roses) on the card. Mike, you're the best!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day Everyone!

Ariana'a Birthday

Great choice on the BLTs Shmare!
Something must have been very interesting

Opening our present to her...

Opening Mom & Dad's present to her... I guess their gift was cooler than our $15 itunes card.

Twinseys!

The Calgary Temple

Last weekend Mike and I were able to travel up to my parents house to celebrate my little sisters birthday. We also got to see the temple and how it was coming along. It is so amazing how far it has come since we left for China.

Color Me Katie

Today while I was on my "10 mins" on pinterest a day (a goal I've set for myself that I'm still working on) I was looking for fun Valentines Day ideas. I always like to go to the ideas sources and see what it's all about aswell.
I usually spend a little more time on those blogs depending on there quality and content aswell. It's a vicious cycle!
I stumbled upon a really cute and original idea and so I went to the source.
It's about a girl name Katie who lives with her cat Moo and lives in a rainbow!
She loves spreading cheer!
and I loved her blog!

Tonight as I was cleaning out some things I hadn't touched since before China, I discovered my old business cards and since they were no longer valid I decided I would begin a painting project.

As it began I soon discovered I was making everything rainbow just like Katie's home...

...and then I thought about something I've wanted to do for Mike ever since we got married.

We had been in someone's home and as we passed the master bedroom we saw above their bed something that looked similar to this...

Mike saw it and then said, "That's sweet! But I'd make it say...smooch your face off every night!" haha
and so this was created...

Fanastic Mr. Mike

To be honest, I haven't seen Fantastic Mr Fox but I hear it's great from everyone who's seen it.

Anyway, this isn't about foxes, badgers, or Roald Dahl for that matter. In my new line of work I work some very strange hours. I get up and 4:30am and finish by 8:00am. I then return at 5:00pm and work until ~9:00pm.

Last night, I came home and Mike had prepared a delicious chili for me. To be honest, I don't realy like chili and wasn't initially that excited. But this was some good chili! He's such a good husband! Looks good eh? (I also came home to the dishes done, a vaccumed carpet and a tidy house. Best Husband Ever!)

This morning I went to work and we finished by 8:00am so I came home and slept until about noon! Whoops. Then Micheal and I went on a date he planned for us! It began at the Pizza Hut Lunch Buffet and so we ate our brains out. (He had a coupon...haha) Then we were going to go mini-golfing but apparently it's not open during the day, so we decided the next best thing would be to go to Value Village! We made a promise before going in not to buy anything...unless we really really wanted it. We made it out with only two things!
A picture frame and a chess set!
We were going to go to a movie but it didn't start for another hour so we decided to go grocery shopping. Couple grocery shopping is always fun! Then we went to the cheap theater in Lethbridge and saw the new Mission Impossible movie.  (We had a coupon for that too.) It was the first Mission Impossible movie I had seen and it was awesome!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Go on an awesome date. Mission accomplished!
